What to eat at Vivint Smart Home Arena

I ate all the delicious food at the Jazz game and I’m here to tell you about it

Last September, the Utah Jazz revealed the incredible new renovations to Vivint Smart Home Arena. Once inside you saw the amazing upgrades to the seating and layout that gave the Utah Jazz a venue to be truly proud of.

But the upgrade I’ve probably enjoyed the most has been all the new food choices added. I recently went to a Jazz game with the goal to try as much food as I could to give you guys an idea of all the food choices available. Probably the biggest sacrifice I have ever made for the Jazz.

When you walk around the main level you’ll notice four corner restaurants. Each of them cater to different styles of food to satisfy every craving a Jazz fan may have. This is a similar strategy to Quin Snyder’s offense because there are endless options to choose from.

For example, if you’re in the mood for barbecue you’ll love R&R Barbecue that serves a huge barbecue selection including Ribs, Pulled Pork and Brisket. Once you’ve ordered, you choose from an assortment of barbecue sauces like regular and sweet etc.

If you’re in the mood for mexican food, El Chubasco has everything you need. You can get burritos, tacos or (my personal favorite) the Chubasco Nacho. El Chubasco also scores points because a lot of food is easier to eat while you’re watching the game.

With every dish El Chubasco provides an assortment of salsas to choose from like Pico de Gallo, Ranchera, Chipotle Crema, Cilantro Crema and Mango y Manzana. Personally, I love the Chipotle Crema. It’s tasty and easy for dipping. Side note, my mouth is watering as I write this.

For those who are looking for classic american style food or maybe something a little lighter, Cubby’s provides delicious burgers and salads. They have the spicy Dragonslayer Burger that comes with smoked bacon, tomatoes, onions and homemade buffalo sauce or the Houdini Burger that comes with sauteed mushrooms, smoked bacon, gouda cheese and crispy onion.

Commence heavy breathing.

Their salads include the Tri-Tip Steak Salad and the Spicy Lemon Chicken. Who says you can’t get a great salad at the Jazz game?!

In the fourth corner of the Stadium is Maxwell’s where you can get Pizza by the slice or a whole pie. You can also get a Cheesesteak that fits perfectly in one hand as you cheer with the other during the game.

With Maxwell’s, Vivint Smart Home Arena has completed the four essential food groups: Pizza, Burgers, Barbecue and Nachos. (note: I am not a nutritionist nor am I in shape.)

For me, as someone who spends most games in the upper bowl, I was really pleased with what the arena renovations did for upper class, also known as the upper bowl.

The list for upper bowl attendees is impressive which includes notable places like:

Chick-fil-a

Papa John’s

Cup Bop

Hires Big H

The final place I tried was Canyon Sausage who sells some impressive bratwursts and sausage on a soft bun.

I tried the Italian Sausage and it was great and I wish I had a bigger mouth to eat more in one bite.

The list of food choices at Vivint Smart Home Arena is now incredibly diverse which means something for everyone on every floor. For a complete list, Vivint Smart Home Arena has a guide to show you where everything is.

After looking at all that Vivint Arena has to offer, I came away very impressed. Vivint Smart Home Arena is a place every Jazz fan can be proud of for how well it showcases the Utah Jazz. But Jazz fans can also be proud of how much great food is offered. It reflects on how great the food is in the valley.

So the next time you’re at the arena make sure and come early because the food options are fantastic and will make for a great night, every game.
