The NBA is back!

That means the long summer of ranking (mostly guessing, actually) NBA players is over. And if you’re wondering where everyone in the league stands according to those rankings, SLC Dunk has you covered with the Wisdom of the Crowd NBA Player Rankings.

To compile these rankings, I...

  1. ...took the preseason ranks from 14 sources (FiveThirtyEight, NBA Math, Bleacher Report, Sports Illustrated, Jacob Goldstein’s Predictive Player Impact Plus-Minus, SLAM, Basketball Reference, Washington Post, CBS, #NBATwitter polls, Lineups, ESPN, ESPN’s RPM projections and my own simple 2017-18 ranking);
  2. ...then found the median (to eliminate outliers); and
  3. ...sorted everyone in the NBA by their median rank.

Below, you’ll see how the teams stack up, if you take those median ranks and average them for each squad’s top three, five and 10 guys.
