Hallelujah! The off season has finally passed us by and the regular season is now upon us! But wait, don't forget about that oh so important preseason we just had, I'm not done writing just yet.
Seriously though, it's pretty hard to judge players/teams when it's preseason. Like I said in my first post, the outcomes are completely meaningless. The Lakers went 0-8 and they might just win the West. I do think however, that you can take some meaning out of player performances, and that's what I've been trying to do the last weeks. If you didn't catch my previous posts, check them out here, here, and here. Anyway, here are your final stat lines (for the entire preseason) with a winner at the end!
Mo Williams: 11.6 PPG (38.6%), 1.8 RPG, 6 APG (3 TOs), 0 BPG, 1 SPG (24.4 MINS, 5 GAMES)
Gordon Hayward: 10.4 PPG (44.8%), 3 RPG, 1.9 APG (2.3 TOs), .2 BPG, .5 SPG (21.3 MINS, 8 GAMES)

Al Jefferson: 10.4 PPG (44.9%), 6 RPG, 2 APG (1.2 TOs), 1.1 BPG, .9 SPG (23.6 MINS, 8 GAMES)
Derrick Favors: 9.4 PPG (45.8%), 4.9 RPG, .9 APG (1.8 TOs), 1.7 BPG, 1.3 SPG (22.1 MINS, 7 GAMES)

Kevin Murphy: 4 PPG (53%), .3 RPG, .3 APG (.3 TOs), 0 BPG, .2 SPG (7.5 MINS, 6 GAMES)

Guys who didn't play: Earl Watson (injury), Raja Bell (not with team)
Player of the Preseason
Enes Kanter: 13.1 PPG (58%), 9.4 RPG, .8 APG (1.1 TOs), .8 BPG, .8 SPG (21.3 MINS, 8 GAMES)
Kanter put in a ton of work this past off season, and it all showed the past few weeks. Preseason or not, his numbers per 36 minutes are dang good and translate out to 22 points and 15.9 rebounds. While stats are cool and fun, I think the most important thing we saw from Enes was his confidence. This goes for both on and off the floor. In one year he went from doing this (you can feel the awkwardness), to this, this, and this to. Congrats Enes, and good luck this season!
Runner Up: Marvin Williams
Special Mention(s): Alec Burks
