The Utah Jazz are 29-33 after 62 games this year. There are 20 games left in the regular season and what was once thought of as an inevitability, the NBA Playoffs, now looks like an uphill climb. The team is fighting for a spot against the Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Houston Rockets while trying to stave off the Sacramento Kings and possibly the New Orleans Pelicans. While the remaining schedule has its' ups and downs, and we'll break it all down in the next post about this today, I just wanted to see how many games you think the Jazz are going to win.
For the record, they do have to play the Golden state Warriors twice, and the San Antonio Spurs once. But that's tempered by having to play 14 of their last 20 games against teams under .500, including seven against teams under .400. This includes playing the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Minnesota Timberwolves twice each. It's not an easy finishing schedule, but it's one where they will also play the Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks both on their second night of a back to back.
Personally, I think that the Utah Jazz have a chance to make some noise over the next 20 games. That may either result in a playoff spot, or serve as a warning to the rest of the NBA for next season -- when hopefully there is more overall help, and will include the return of Top 5 lotto pick Dante Exum, and the addition of yet another lotto pick to the crew.
