Donovan Mitchell was among the 18 nba players named to Team USA camp roster for the 2019 FIBA World Cup, as reported by the NY Times and ESPN’s Woj.

The 18-player roster will attend camp and battle it out for a spot on the eventual 12-man roster that will compete in the FIBA games from August 15 to September 21 in China.

I dont know about you, but I’ve always loved watching Team USA. Now, having the possibility of watching Donovan Mitchell play in the red, white, and blue has me all sorts of hyped.

This design made by UJC Design is absolutely amazing.

Mitchell would open a new chapter in his legacy by playing for Team USA. He would become the first Jazz player since D-Will and Boozer in 2008 to represent the United States in the form of basketball. (Gordon Hayward was invited but declined back in 2016 due to the birth of his second child). He would join the ranks of all-time Jazz greats to play for Team USA, including John Stockton and Karl Malone. Not only would it be awesome to watch Mitchell play basketball in an international setting, but it would be a great experience to hang around with some of the NBA’s best for several weeks including training, practicing and other preparations. It would no doubt be a very valuable experience for Mitchell as he approaches just his third NBA season. Hopefully Mitchell can make the 12-man roster and compete for a world championship with Team USA.
