Memory Lane with Memo; NBA & domestic assault; tell Mark Jackson how you really feel about him

I generally have a mental block when it comes to linking to my own stuff, but I strongly encourage you to read this post, which is Mehmet Okur's look back on his playing career. Alternatively, you could listen to the interview on 1280.

It's a fun, nostalgic trip down Memory Lane and includes gems like his first-ever exchange with Jerry Sloan, how he started playing basketball, and getting pulled over for speeding on the highway in his Ferrari. On the not-so-fun side, Memo also talks about his Achilles' injury and his recovery process, and how he felt about being traded by the Jazz.

What are the NBA and Commissioner Adam Silver doing to address domestic assault issues (only three of 14 NBA players accused of domestic violence were suspended last year)?

Randy Rigby gives us the low-down:
We are addressing it. And we’ve been very proactive. Recently, in fact, some memos have been coming out to all of the teams about how we properly deal with, not specific issues, but how we are treating one another, as a society, as a workplace, and in our homes and in our lives.

And you know what? It comes back, you know, to me, of, we, too many of us wanna be regulated, and a lot of people don’t wanna be regulated. It comes, really, down to character, and it comes down to values. And all along, for the Utah Jazz, of, people have heard it time and time from myself and from the Utah Jazz, but it comes back to those critical values that we’ve always held to.
