Ladies and gentlemen, Donovan Mitchell.

As an injury replacement for Aaron Gordon, Donovan Mitchell fared well in the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. For a recap of Donovan’s dunks, check out this article from MyLo. If you missed out on the contest, here is a video recap of all of the dunks and their respective scores.
Donovan was on fire, receiving perfect scores on two of his dunks, and a score of 48/50 on both of his other two dunks. Adrian Wojnarowski interviewed Donovan afterward, where they discussed the dunk contest, Donovan’s history at Louisville, and why Donovan does not care about the Rookie of the Year award. I highly recommend that click-through.
Utah has something special in Donovan Mitchell, and that was put on display for all to see this weekend. “Spida” Mitchell has been all over the place, so let’s dig into this.

During the comings and goings of All-Star Weekend, Donovan Mitchell was sighted exchanging phone numbers with a certain former professional boxer.

Donovan seems to be making all the right connections. Whether it is with NBA all-stars, or stars and influential people in other sports, everybody seems to want a piece of Spida Mitchell. He is mingling with the best of the best, and that is something to appreciate. It is difficult to receive this level of popularity and exposure on a small-market team, however Donovan has made it look easy.

Not only is Donovan Mitchell a talented basketball player, but he always seems willing to give back.

Donovan is going to have quite the John Hancock with all this signature practice he is getting in.

In further Donovan Mitchell news, did you know that he is also musically inclined?

Some people seem to just have it all. Yet, Donovan maintains a level of humility and sincerity with all of his talents that we could learn from. I guess it is about time to go dust off my old guitar and learn some Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I have found myself thoroughly enjoying this year’s All-Star Weekend. There have been some highs as well as lows (I’m looking at you, Fergie), but most of it has been entertaining.
