There was more than one holiday in Utah this weekend.

New, comments

Donovan Mitchell Day was celebrated statewide

I hope you all had a nice Memorial Day yesterday. I’m certainly thankful for all the sacrifices made by those before us, whether family members, neighbors, friends, or complete strangers. Hopefully the long weekend treated everyone well!

Speaking of remembering things, another important holiday was celebrated this weekend. May 27, 2017, otherwise known as Donovan Mitchell Day, was celebrated around my house as well.

It wasn’t just your life that changed, Donovan, but all of Utah and Jazz fans worldwide!

Rudy Gobert’s season might be over, but his reign of terror as the best defensive player on the planet has not.

No mercy from the Stifle Tower! There are 3 things about that video that I love. First off, that kid barely reaches Rudy’s thighs and he probably has better handles than me. Second, I love the reaction of the other kids as if any other outcome was even possible. Finally, this wasn’t all that indifferent to how Rudy makes NBA guards look at times and I just love it.

For your fan posts this week we’ve got a couple for you to look at.

Beeblebrox42 continues the fantastic offseason work, this time looking at the Free Agent Market for Dante Exum:

Now that the season is over and the Jazz start preparing for the draft and free agency, I thought I’d put together a few posts about what the Jazz can do this offseason. For this post, I’m going to focus on what the market is for guards. It’s still really early in the offseason, so a lot of these numbers could change based on what kind of trades happen around the draft, but at least this will be a starting point...

Yi Of Little Faith asks about how much you value Rudy Gobert:

Disclaimer: I’m not saying I would do this. Just a jumping off point for discussion purposes.

As Phoenix seem to want to win now and might be shopping the number one overall pick I wonder if Utah would consider trading for it at the expense of Rudy?

Donovan and his fellow rookies made it into an episode of Game of Zones. I’ll be completely honest, this is the first time I’ve ever watched one of these and now I feel terrible about everything I’ve been missing out on!

Seriously, I might have to bookmark that episode and watch it every day until basketball is back in the Fall. So dang funny!

With Memorial Day having just been celebrated I wanted to ask you a simple open-ended question. What was your favorite moment of the Utah Jazz season?
