Tonight the Utah Jazz play . . . at home . . . what mean this word 'home'? Yes, the Jazz will be tipping off in the Aunt Viv tonight against the New Orleans Pelicans. In this sibling rivalry we're going to see something tonight, for sure. The Pellies are on the last game of a three game road trip -- and this will be their second night of a back to back in addition to being their third game in four nights. They are missing a slew of players (Norris Cole, Quincy Pondexter, and Kendrick Perkins); however, they could have Jrue Holiday, Anthony Davis, and Tyreke Evans all back tonight. Davis is expected to play after sustaining an injury last game (on a Chris Paul initiated foul), and is a likely game time decision. Head coach Alvin Gentry has said that both Holiday and Evans will have a 20 min cap on how much they can play tonight, if they do. Evans is doubtful, and Holiday could be good to go (he did play 13 minutes last game). (N.B. Andy Boss Larsen tweeted out that Evans will not play, which is good, as he's a Jazz-killer.) On the other side of the ball, Derrick Favors is going to MISS this game to attend to personal reasons. Trey Burke has a back injury and is questionable to play tonight. Rodney Hood is going to try to play tonight, with a back injury as well. Dante Exum is already out, and if those two guys join him that's 3 of the top 5 guards on the roster.
So, yeah, you're going to see something tonight.
You're not going to see much of me because, apparently, date night is a weekly freakin' thing . . .
