The Utah Jazz host (?) the Phoenix Suns in the last game of the Las Vegas Summer League's preliminary round. It will have implications for every other team in the entire tournament, and not just the 2 teams here. So it's an important one, and the final standings of all 24 teams depend on it. Of course, it's just a game for seeding purposes, the actual championship game is still six days, and and five wins away from now. STILL! SUMMER LEAGUE IS IMPORTANT, kinda. For a full breakdown of what's at stake read this piece that explains what's happening right now between the New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, and Utah Jazz. For a preview of tonight's game read this piece. And, of course, be sure to sound off in the comments section to say your piece. Personally, if the Jazz can get two of T.J. Warren, Archie Goodwin, or Devin Booker to have bad games then I think a Top 8 seed is ripe for the taking. Utah can really set the tone early with Bryce Cotton against their group of Jerel McNeal and two guys who somehow are worse than him and don't start. Alex Len is going to be an obstacle; however, Trey Lyles ability to face up and drive may be able to draw some fouls on him early.
It would be nice if Dante Exum or Rodney Hood were playing in this; but I really don't have any info on that -- and bereft of anything new I am just going to assume that don't play.
