Tonight the Utah Jazz tangle with the Los Angeles Lakers. This will be the second game of a back to back set for the Utah Jazz, who beat the Miami Heat last night. It will also be the third game in four nights for the Jazz, who had previously lost to the Houston Rockets in their gym a few nights ago. And absurdly, it's also the fifth game in seven nights. That's plenty of work in the week if you ask me -- especially for a team that has been perpetually hampered by injuries as the Jazz have been. As it stands, the Jazz will be once again without Dante Exum and Alec Burks. Both Derrick Favors and Rodney Hood are listed as questionable by the Jazz and gambling websites both. The Lakers aren't at full strength either, as their star pariah Kobe Bryant will not play tonight either. D'Angelo Russell is also out with an ankle injury, and Brandon Bass only has one working eye right now.
So, there you have it. 10 vs. 10 basketball, if Favors and Hood can go. If not, well, less.
This is the first game against LA this season and frankly, everything before it is just a prelude to the final game of the season, Kobe's final game of his career. But before we get there we have tonight. No matter what, Gordon Hayward and Trey Burke will have to really carry the offense again, unless Chris Johnson is the real deal.
A tired and injured Jazz go up against a team that is injured and only has eight wins on the season.
GO JAZZ GO!
