Man, the Utah Jazz have 18 wins, and the Brooklyn Nets have 11 wins. Utah has lost two in a row, and four of their last five. Brooklyn lots four in a row, and nine of the last 10. Both teams aren't killing it right now. There are injuries for both sides, and primarily at the point guard spot (Jack and Exum). This seems like the perfect game for the Jazz to lose, because they've been in New York for like three straight days. Whatever. I am less than enthused about how this team is playing on the road right now. Once again, no Derrick Favors, Dante Exum, or Alec Burks for the Jazz. And no Jarrett Jack, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, or Chris McCullough for the Nets.
Still, there are some important match-ups tonight. Rudy Gobert against Brook Lopez. Trey Lyles against Thaddeus Young. And Gordon Hayward against Joe Johnson. And, I guess, Rodney Hood against Bojan Bogdanovic. Both teams are having some trouble this season -- but the Nets moreso. Brooklyn is 28th in ORTG and 25th in DRTG. They are 20th in pace, and they average 95.3 ppg.
Utah really needs to win this game. I cannot fathom what will happen if Brooklyn takes the team to OT, and wins, again for the third game in a row.
There isn't much more to say than that.
