The Utah Jazz do battle against the Chicago Bulls tonight. Both teams are suffering from injuries right now and fighting for their playoff lives. Utah is without Dante Exum, Alec Burks, Tibor Pleiss, and possibly also Gordon Hayward (a game time decision, suffering from plantar fasciitis). Chicago is without Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah, E'Twaun Moore, Cameron Bairstow, and possibly Aaron Brooks. The good news for fans is that there ARE some players playing tonight -- and the battle between Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler against Shelvin Mack and Rodney Hood tonight is going to be epic.

Yeah, I said it.

Historically, the Jazz are 46-49 all-time against the Bulls in the regular season (a sad 4-8 in the playoffs). Yes, the Jazz are only 18-29 on the road, but let's not forget that the Jazz won by 20 points in Chicago last season. It can happen again tonight. The Jazz won the first game of this match-up this season 105-96 in overtime back in SLC. In the Windy city it's going to be harder. But injuries have dulled the horns of the Bulls bigmen.

Of course, they have a lot of guard talent that can really break out -- our bros over at Blog a Bull point that that Doug McDermott has a streak of 20 ppg games for him right now. So watch out for that. (Read the rest of their preview over here!) It should be a good game if the Jazz can take care of the glass and control the pace of the game. If Chicago goes small then we could be in trouble, unless, you know, Trey Lyles goes nuts.

This game is on TV over here, and I have no excuse not to watch it. But hey . . . I'll find a way to miss most of it somehow.
