The Utah Jazz (35-22) tip-off tonight against the Milwaukee Bucks (25-30). It’s the first game after the break for both of these teams, and it’s a good match-up of the 5th team in the West against the 9th team in the East. Okay, so maybe not a fair game. Milwaukee is 14-14 at home and Utah is 15-11 on the road. I hope the finally healthy Jazz win tonight. They should, as Milwaukee is still without Jabari Parker and are still trying to see what they have with Kris Middleton back from injury.
This is a short preview because there isn’t much else to say. Thon Maker showed up bigtime against Rudy Gobert. Gobert hasn’t forgotten. Giannis Antetokounmpo is an All-Star but was out-played by fellow small forward All-Star forward Gordon Hayward when they played. It’s going to be fun to see them go at it again. Greg Monroe against Derrick Favors? Who can say no?
The Jazz do have the advantage at guard, with George Hill, Rodney Hood, and Alec Burks. If those three guys can hold it down tonight, and over the next 25 games, this is going to be a special Jazz team and fun to watch.
Trey Lyles against Michael Beasley. Just because.
Which team is more focused out of the All-Star Break will probably take this game.
The Jazz win this. The have to.
