Utah Jazz Podcast: Amar on NBA Unplugged with Jacob Noble and James Bucklin

Greg M. Cooper-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

Hey everyone, hopefully you're all enjoying the last few days of the non-NBA regular season before we all switch into overdrive. I think that the Utah Jazz have a very special season coming up. There seems to be an almost limitless number of ways things are going to go down during the season, but ultimately, we'll either make the playoffs or not make it. And at this stage of where we are as contenders, either option can easily be argued for.

I was asked to be a guest (along with bloggers for our Northwest rivals the Denver Nuggets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Portland Trail Blazers) on the show "NBA Unplugged" at theprobasketballtalk.com, which is part of Foxsports.com, on MSN, via Yard Barker. Or something. I don't know the full details. The internet is the wild wild west. We bloggers keep it fresh like that.

Well, Jacob Noble (@ProBskbllTalk) and James Bucklin (@James_Bucklin) had me on as a guest to talk about the Jazz, where we are, and go into details about our players Al Jefferson, Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors, and others -- while having a few laughs along the way. The laughs start almost immediately because, well, they had a hard time reaching me.

My part is around the 1:20:00 mark, I believe. It was a great experience for me to talk with NBA fans in other markets (try to guess where these guys are from, by their accents). Over all, though, I think that whatever happens to the Jazz this year -- we'll be fine. I was way too negative and worried last year. This year? I'm going to try to not get upset when Randy Foye starts more games than Alec Burks.
